Kate and Bob met at Daddy's bar in Bushwick with both their respective instruments attached to their backs. This is a picture from a different bar in Brooklyn called Matchless, where Bob worked the door for shows.

The first overnight hike together to West Mountain Shelter in Harriman State Park where they watched the 4th of July fireworks from the mountaintop.

Bob finished thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail.
