Catch a movie at Beacon Movie Theater: screening both independent and blockbuster films with real butter popcorn + adult beverages (from Wonderbar next door).
Walk along Main Street in Beacon: it's a straight shot of lots of shops and restaurants to peruse!
Hike a section of the Appalachian Trail: and explore the trails in Fahnestock State Park.
Hudson Valley Brewery: specializes in sours, but their IPAs are also great. Limited batch cocktail menu and usually brick oven pizza on the weekends.
Wonderbar: craft cocktails next to the movie theater in town with mostly tapas-sized sharable plates.
Paul Brady: a wine shop and wine bar with a small seating area featuring spirits from New York State and light snacks while you taste test one of their flights.
The Beacon Daily: known for their fried chicken, breakfast sandwiches, and tots with casual seating if you’d like to eat in.
Kitchen & Coffee: Kate’s favorite spot to grab a coffee and casual lunch with a wide range of vegan and gluten-free lunch and pastry options.
Nilufer's Home Kitchen: Turkish meets French fare, stop in for breakfast or lunch, enjoy a Turkish tea and any of the items on the menu.
Big Mouth Coffee Roasters: some of the best coffee in town with a small but tasty pastry selection.
Zaitun: a narrow spot for authentic Palestinian cuisine, we're partial to the flatbread wraps and the za'atar fries. They also serve dinner.
Quinn's: a Beacon staple and one of our favorites, ramen and Japanese fare (no sushi) and the only place in town you're likely to find other people hiding out in booths wearing black band tees.
Cooper’s: our go-to next door with a few fun twists on standard American fare appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, beers, and cocktails also serving brunch!
The Roundhouse: the only spot to dine with a view of the creek. We recommend stopping by for their extensive wine list and a cheese platter before heading to one of our other favorite spots for dinner.
Dolly's: located in nearby Garrison, NY with gorgeous views of the Hudson River and truly delicious, elevated Euro-American fare.
Five Pennies Creamery: located in the Hudson Valley Food Hall, all hand-made ice cream with quirky flavors rotate regularly.
